Mohbad’s mother alleges that his father buried him before his death

Abosede, the grieving mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, more commonly known as Mohbad, has stepped forward with shocking accusations against her former husband, Joseph. In an exclusive interview titled “Uncensored: Mohbad’s mother opens up on late son, ex-husband, Naira Marley,” featured in Saturday PUNCH, Abosede courageously shares the tumultuous journey she has endured following the tragic loss of her beloved son.

Reflecting on the days leading up to Mohbad’s untimely passing, Abosede recounts staying at Joseph’s residence for ten days, completely unaware of the impending tragedy that would devastate her family. Upon receiving the heartbreaking news of Mohbad’s demise, she hurried back to the house, hoping to gather her shattered family in their time of grief.

However, amidst her anguish, Abosede was met with further heartbreak as Joseph, her estranged husband, allegedly made decisions without her consent. Despite her desperate attempts to reconcile and provide solace to their fractured family unit, Joseph’s actions only served to deepen the chasm between them.

Expressing profound disbelief and sorrow, Abosede firmly believes that Mohbad was still clinging to life when he was hastily laid to rest. She laments the missed opportunity to intervene and prevent the premature burial of her beloved son, a decision that continues to haunt her.

In contrast, Joseph defends the swift burial, citing longstanding Yoruba cultural traditions that mandate immediate interment, especially when both parents are alive. He explains that the land where Mohbad was laid to rest was gifted to him by Mohbad himself, with intentions of building a church. Joseph emphasizes that the decision to proceed with the burial expeditiously was rooted in reverence for these cultural customs.

As the community grapples with Mohbad’s loss, the circumstances surrounding his passing remain shrouded in mystery. The Lagos State Police Command launches an investigation to uncover the truth, ultimately leading to the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains for a thorough autopsy.

Amidst the swirling emotions and unanswered questions, Abosede and Joseph find themselves locked in a painful struggle to come to terms with their shared loss and the divergent paths that have led them to this moment of reckoning.
